The shield-like signs were reverse cut with a CNC router and feature a cutout lightning-bolt logo and \u201cDominance through Cyberspace\u201d slogan. Some signs were backed with a combination of red and yellow Acrylite acrylic to emphasize cutouts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2666 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.3acompositesusa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_1-e1617197612373-1024x649.jpg\" alt=\"Sign Chef, Military Honor, Dibond, Photo Sign Chef\" width=\"1024\" height=\"649\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_1-e1617197612373-1024x649.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_1-e1617197612373-300x190.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_1-e1617197612373-768x486.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_1-e1617197612373-670x424.jpg 670w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_1-e1617197612373.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/>\u201cDibond is such a diverse product; we use it in some fashion every single day,\u201d said Myers. \u201cDibond offers a thicker aluminum outer shell that is a much higher-quality material over lower-priced aluminum composites. We\u2019ve also found that Dibond\u2019s core material holds up better over time. Dibond can be bent into shapes. If you try to bend lesser aluminum composites, they crack. \u2026 We research our materials for a solid six months before we specify them. We take the time to get quality products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So, when Myers decided to create a wall display last year for installation in The Sign Chef\u2019s lobby to honor military veterans, nothing but high-quality Dibond would do as a substrate.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2668 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.3acompositesusa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_HP-e1617197633181.jpg\" alt=\"Sign Chef, Military Honor, Dibond, Photo Sign Chef\" width=\"455\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_HP-e1617197633181.jpg 455w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Sign_Chef_HP-e1617197633181-300x297.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 455px) 100vw, 455px\" \/>While Myers acknowledges the sacrifices that he and other wounded veterans have made in service of their country, he wanted The Sign Chef display especially to memorialize those military men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve lost so many friends through the years,\u201d said Myers. \u201cIt\u2019s nice to have something to remind us every day of what they\u2019ve done. It\u2019s my small way of bringing them justice. \u2026 No matter how difficult life might get, it reminds me that someone else paid the full price.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nikki Newsome, lead graphic designer at The Sign Chef, worked with Myers to create the 8-by-10 foot wall display.<\/p>\n<p>Dibond Brushed Silver in the 3mm thickness was selected to create a 15-inch by 84-inch header featuring eight stars and a dedication reading: \u201cIn Honor of Our Military.\u201d The header was reverse cut with a CNC router and backed with red Acrylite acrylic to emphasize the cutouts. The Dibond header was finished with Trim USA glossy black plastic edge capping.<\/p>\n<p>The remainder of the 48-inch by 96-inch Dibond Brushed Silver sheet was used to route five circular medallions representing the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Seals of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy were printed on Avery self-adhesive vinyl with a Seiko ColorPainter M-64 wide-format printer and adhered to the medallions, which featured unfinished edges to display Dibond\u2019s solid composite core.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2664 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.3acompositesusa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Motivated_Marketing_3-e1617197658528-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Sign Chef, Military Honor, Dibond, Photo Motivated Marketing\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Motivated_Marketing_3-e1617197658528-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Motivated_Marketing_3-e1617197658528-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Motivated_Marketing_3-e1617197658528-670x893.jpg 670w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Motivated_Marketing_3-e1617197658528-1153x1536.jpg 1153w, https:\/\/cdn.graphicdisplay.3acompositesusa.com\/2017\/05\/Sign_Chef_Military_Honor_Dibond_Photo_Motivated_Marketing_3-e1617197658528.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>The header and medallions were installed over an 8-foot by 10-foot backdrop featuring the image of a soldier saluting a waving flag that appears translucent against a cloud-filled sky. Additionally, the backdrop features a statement recognizing The Sign Chef\u2019s on-going support of the Wounded Warrior Project. The backdrop was printed with the Seiko ColorPainter M-64 on removable wallpaper designed for print applications. The Dibond header and medallions were blind stud-mounted to the drywall.<\/p>\n<p>The military wall display was installed in The Sign Chef lobby in February 2016 and has continued to receive regular compliments from customers, according to Myers. \u201cWe hear customer comments about the display every single day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the display has been appreciated internally by employees of The Sign Chef, according to Myers. While memorializing lost members of the U.S. Armed Forces, the display also serves as a tribute to the many veterans employed by The Sign Chef, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s good for all of us,\u201d said Myers. \u201cSome of our employees have been through combat; some have not. It\u2019s good for all of us to know that we\u2019re appreciated for our service.
