\nThe female form inspires artist Paul Carola<\/a> works with bold color schemes taken from a life-long love of LEGOs. The artist had an interesting start into the world of fine art. He studied Graphic Design but after a few years with a printing company began his exploration into painting. He would use fine art as an escape from the everyday banality of his job. <\/p>\n

\"Paul<\/p>\n

Within a few years he decided to quit his job and work solely on his fine art pieces. Carola explains, \u201cWhat I learned from school as a graphic designer, specifically branding or logo design was a key element to my work now as an artist\u2026reducing elements to make a greater impact.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his studio in Houston, Texas, Carola creates his works. His larger pieces were initially created with plywood, yet plywood substrates presented the artist with a few problems including weight issues and subjected warping. To absolve these issues he turned to an artist forum where he discovered Dibond aluminum composite material.<\/p>\n

\"Paul<\/p>\n

The results are a series of acrylic and resin pieces on Dibond aluminum composite. Varying in size, these large works feature an abstracted vision of the female form. Carola describes, \u201cI feel my love for LEGOs comes through in my work as my art is very bold in color, sharp\/clean lines, and plastic in appearance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Paul<\/p>\n

These \u201cFor The Wall\u201d pieces are one of three collections by the artist who also created a series of white mounted drawings and a series of \u201cOn A Base\u201d sculpture pieces. All of his works feature iconic colorful abstractions, showcasing the minimalistic yet complicated vision of the artist.<\/p>\n
