The full-service reprographics provider was founded in 1975 by Michael Amato and has since adapted to offer customers the latest technologies in graphic imaging services. <\/p>\n

\"WillametteThe team recently worked with Portland-based mixed media artist and art teacher, Theresa Weil<\/a>, who completed a series of fence topper and wall art prints for an outdoor installation. For this, the team chose Dibond aluminum composite material as the printing substrate. They describe, \u201cA lot of our customers have used our prints on Dibond for their outdoor signage because the material prints well and holds up well in our environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

The prints were created on a UV printer and direct printed to Dibond ACM. The intricate shapes were cut out using a Z\u00fcnd digital CNC. Weil describes her work stating, \u201cMy art takes inspiration from my great aunts, first-generation Italian-Americans whose creative spirit could be seen in the beautiful garments they created as seamstresses and tailors in 1950\u2019s New York City\u2019s burgeoning garment district.\u201d<\/p>\n

Weil specializes in mixed media works and spends her time teaching others. She notes that a particular source of self-pride is, like her great aunts, her ability to produce beautiful things with your hands. She further explains, \u201cWith the help of Willamette Print & Blueprint, I have recently applied my unique collage patterns onto Dibond creating printed outdoor art. Dibond is such a versatile material, I am really excited about the creative possibilities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Weil\u2019s dimensional works feature an impressive variety of substrates and techniques. She has mastered printmaking, ceramics, reverse glass painting, paper collage and even three-dimensional portraits. Her colorful works allow her to teach with enthusiasm and instruct the next artistic generation to produce playfully abstracted pieces.<\/p>\n
