When an architect and a designer teamed up to create furniture, the ultimate modern coffee table design was created. “Table 4×4” is a culmination of P. Guillou’s skills in furniture making and J. Barrès’ skills in space design.
Weighing less than nine pounds, the modern table was created with Dibond, a thin and lightweight aluminum composite material (ACM). The ACM was chosen for its rigidity and durability in outdoor applications. Its temperature resistance and exterior coating allow the material to be used in both interior and exterior applications. Additionally, the sheets of material were pre-painted with a polyester paint finish applied to both sides. ACM has the ability to be contorted into shapes, creating a unique geometry.
The playful table features the simplistic and contemporary design seen in modern furniture. The table was showcased at the Maison&Objet back in Paris in September. The Maison&Objet is a lifestyle event showcasing a variety of markets including decorating, furniture, design, textiles, tableware and more.
