At 1,776 feet tall – a height designed to pay homage to the signing of the Declaration of Independence – New York City’s One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Featuring an iconic design comprised of eight elongated isosceles triangles, the 104-story office tower built adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is topped by the One World Observatory and a 408-foot tall spire. The powerhouse manufacturer Piaggio encompasses iconic brands such as Vespa, Gilera, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi. Suspended Sound Installation Uses Uniquely Laser-Cut Dibond Panels
Tessel is a collaborative kinetic sound installation by French composer/artist David Letellier and Lab [au], an electronic arts studio. The suspended installation utilizes intricately folded Dibond aluminum composite sheets integrated with audio transducers. The Dibond was laser cut into 40 triangles, 12 of which were fit with motors and eight with the sound transducers. (more…)
