Suspended Sound Installation Uses Uniquely Laser-Cut Dibond Panels
Tessel is a collaborative kinetic sound installation by French composer/artist David Letellier and Lab [au], an electronic arts studio. The suspended installation utilizes intricately folded Dibond aluminum composite sheets integrated with audio transducers. The Dibond was laser cut into 40 triangles, 12 of which were fit with motors and eight with the sound transducers. (more…)
Small Town’s Historical Timeline Realized With 76-Foot Dibond Mural
The Bagg’s Square mural is a 76-foot historical timeline of Utica’s past. In Utica, New York, a $250,000 grant was awarded from National Grid to the Bagg’s Square Association, which enabled the association to develop a large Dibond paneled mural, designed by Michelle Truett. The installation features 110 historical elements including people, places and events that made the city what is today. (more…)

Germax Interiors, a Sydney-based company that specializes in hotel and office furniture, drew inspiration from Italian artist, Monica Bonvicini. Project FishTales Takes A Village To Complete Using Dibond
Bright neon colored fish made from Dibond aluminum composite material makes up a 22 by 186 foot art installation in Torrington, Connecticut. The artist responsible for the colorful exhibit, Danielle Mailer, conceptualized the vision when it was determined that the wall at the town’s Staples center was an eyesore. A major part of the vision included inviting members of the nearby communities to participate in the project. The giant mural was created by aspiring artists as young as nine years old. (more…)
UK Artist Creates Captivating Exhibition Using Several Different Substrates
Genesis Imaging, in London, recently completed a large-scale exhibition project for artist Gayle Chong Kwan’s ‘Anthropo-scene.’ The project utilized several different substrates, in large and small format, to include, “…Direct to Media UV prints on Dibond, marine plywood and glass, Lambda C-type prints, Giclee Fine Art prints and Bespoke framing for the multilayer installation that explores the built environment, strata and waste, in relation to the City of London,” according to experts at Genesis. English football and rugby dominate the sports pages in the UK. The arenas for these sports, with international visitors, seat tens of thousands of people for any given event. Later this year, the UK will host the Rugby World Cup at “the home of English rugby,” Twickenham Stadium.
