Jay Allen, owner of ShawCraft Signs, is no stranger to the task of historically commemorative murals. The artist was responsible for the Lincoln Highway’s hand-painted murals that stretched for 179 miles of Illinois from Fulton to Lynwood.
In another collaborative project between the branding specialists at Parker Design and the sign experts at Spiral Colour, the team created a series of outdoor displays for a development on the beach at Allonby, Cumbia. The team at Parker was looking for a way to communicate an upcoming development project with stakeholders, so they sought the expertise of Spiral Colour to create the informative exterior series.
In an article by Gilbert, Arizona sign experts, Spotlight Signs, the company highlights the importance of lobby signage. Their piece focuses on the critical importance of signage as a company’s initial impression. They quote, “…the lobby is the first chamber a person will experience, it is the first chance to form an impression. A high quality lobby sign can dramatically enhance the perceived quality and professionalism of any business.”
Christopher Farrell is a renowned fine artist based in London. His illustrious career began after studying Visual Arts at De Montfort University and then gaining his post-graduate degree at the RA Schools. It was at the RA Schools that he received a variety of awards and an invitation to Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen to acknowledge the achievements of young people in the UK.
The Cavaliers Team Shop on the east side of the Quicken Loans Arena nearly doubled in size with its renovation. The 5,700 square foot, two-story shop houses Cavs gear and showcased the team’s newest additions back in 2010. The flagship store featured the team’s updated color scheme, breathing new life into their established fandom.
Hand-painted signs are a novelty. Not everyone possesses the prowess or even talent to paint signage by hand. Dave Correll of Brushwork Signs in Faribault, Minnesota does. He has gained recognition for his works, which were featured in Signs Of The Times highlighting two particular signs utilizing Dibond aluminum composite.
As a centennial celebration, the Lincoln Highway’s history was immortalized with a series of hand-painted murals that stretch across 179 miles of Illinois from Fulton to Lynwood. Once the original U.S. 30 route, the historical significance of the Lincoln Highway was captured with a series, hand-painted by Jay Allen.
Contemporary artist and graphic designer Ian Kirkpatrick recently completed a commissioned piece for Oxford University Museum of Natural History. The piece was in response to the museum’s temporary exhibition, “Settlers: Genetics, Geography and the peopling of Britain,” and featured a series of digitally printed Dibond aluminum composite panels.
