His exhibit, Microsculpture, is a macro photography project that captures insects in all their detailed-glory on large-scale printed Dibond aluminum composite. One such company responsible for site branding, DN&Co for Stanhope plc, hired Service Graphics for a large hoarding installation. That’s where designer Fabrice Berrux, a French lighting designer, comes in. The designer got his start in the late 1980s with a design studio, Societe 18 Août, which created quirky and unusual objects. Recently, Sean O'Hagan at The Guardian interviewed Albert Oehlen about his Gagosian Gallery exhibition in Mayfair. O'Hagan’s interview explores the artist’s skeletal tree paintings, but also is an examination of the artist himself. Oehlen’s interpretations of trees, being abstract and minimalistic in nature, are painted on the artists’ substrate of choice, Dibond aluminum composite. (more…)
